I would like to start an Youth Expedition Project(YEP), expected to go to cambodia in early June 2007 for 14 days to 18 days. This YEP will target to help orphans in Cambodia and it comprises of teaching basic IT skills, setting up of a computer lab and basic healthcare education. The team of 20 passionate and high-spirited individuals are inspired by the noble goal of making a difference for the village children in Cambodia.

We can ask for funding through the OYPG-OCP Application, the Overseas Community Projects (OCP) is a new component of Overseas Youth Programme Grant (OYPG),

Service Learning Component
The overseas community projects should adopt the Service-Learning methodology whereby as the youths serve the overseas community, there is a structured framework in place to help them learn from their service experience. Service-Learning is an approach through which community engagement values, life skills and learning about academic subjects are acquired by youths, as lesson are drawn from their experiences of rendering service.

Evacution / Emergency plan
To be endorsed by Office of Student Affairs (OSA) or a recognised Youth Organisation (YO)
- OSA/YO must be involved in the plan.
- To provide contact details of parties involved in the plan

OTHERS:
?Details of Overseas Organisation that the team is working with to implement this project
?Detailed Budget breakdown (specify details, such as Insurance, Medical check up, supplies, material costs etc.)
?Details on how to carry out project objectives
?Pre and Post expedition plans

Pls note that the project team should be made up of at least 20 participants (including leader/facilitator) and the project should last at least 14 days.
Funding is only available to Singaporeans and PRs aged 17 to 29, the project leader should be at least 21 yrs of age and must have participated in a similar expedition before.
